Writer's Tears is an Irish whiskey that is traditionally triple distilled and matured in American oak bourbon casks. This whiskey honors the Irish whiskey style of the last century as well as the famous writers and poets of Ireland who are known for their enjoyment of Irish whiskey. These include George Bernard Shaw, Oscar Wilde and Samuel Beckett, who were particularly inspired by whisky in times of creative crisis, which is reflected in the name "Writer's Tears".
The "Writer's Tears Cask Strength Exclusive Release 2023" is the thirteenth edition of the prestigious Writer's Tears Cask Strength Whiskey. This edition is a combination of triple-distilled single pot still and single malt whiskey matured in bourbon casks. Each bottle of the premium blend is individually numbered and bears the signature of Bernard Walsh, the founder of Writer's Tears.
