Diese auf der gleichnamigen Hebrideninsel gelegene Brennerei ist für ihren handwerklichen Ansatz und ihre experimentellen Fassreifungen bekannt. Mit dieser Special Release präsentiert sie eine Rarität: einen Single Malt Scotch Whisky, der exklusiv in kolumbianischer Eiche (Quercus Humboldtii) gereift ist – eine Holzart, die in der Whiskywelt kaum Verwendung findet und daher einen ganz neuen aromatischen Zugang bietet.
Die Reifung in kolumbianischer Eiche sorgt für ein komplexes und ungewöhnliches Geschmacksprofil. Im Vergleich zur traditionellen amerikanischen Weißeiche bringt dieses Holz mehr würzige und dunkle Aromen mit sich. Der Whisky wurde mit kräftigen 50,7 % Vol. in natürlicher Stärke abgefüllt – selbstverständlich nicht kühlfiltriert und ungefärbt. Das Ergebnis ist ein charaktervoller, intensiver Single Malt mit markanter Struktur und einer spannenden Balance aus Fruchtigkeit, Würze und feiner Holzprägung.

Farbe: Goldbraun mit bernsteinfarbenem Schimmer.
Nase: Würzige Eichenaromen, getrocknete Früchte, Vanille, Zimt und ein Hauch dunkler Schokolade.
Geschmack: Vollmundig und kraftvoll mit Noten von Karamell, gerösteten Nüssen, dunkler Frucht und Gewürzen.
Abgang: Lang anhaltend und wärmend mit eleganter Holzwürze und feinem Röstaroma.
