Der Val de Rance Cru Breton Cidre Doux ist ein milder und traditioneller Apfelcidre aus der Bretagne, der mit nur 2 % Vol. Alkohol zu den besonders leichten Vertretern seiner Art zählt. Hergestellt von der traditionsreichen Genossenschaft Les Celliers Associés, basiert dieser Cidre auf sorgfältig ausgewählten, regionaltypischen Apfelsorten und wird nach bretonischer Handwerkstradition verarbeitet. Dabei kommen ausschließlich frische Äpfel zum Einsatz, die sanft gepresst, bei niedrigen Temperaturen vergoren und ohne Zusatzstoffe oder Konservierungsmittel abgefüllt werden.
Der Cru Breton Doux steht exemplarisch für die süßere Stilistik französischer Cidres, die besonders in der Bretagne geschätzt wird. Die niedrige Alkoholstärke wird durch einen frühzeitigen Gärstopp erreicht, wodurch ein hoher Anteil der natürlichen Fruchtsüße erhalten bleibt. Dieser Cidre ist somit nicht nur besonders aromatisch und süffig, sondern auch ein ideales Getränk für alle, die bewusst auf Alkohol verzichten oder ihn stark reduzieren möchten, ohne auf Geschmack zu verzichten. Im Glas zeigt sich der Cidre Doux in einem goldenen Gelb mit feiner, natürlicher Trübung und lebendiger Perlage. Die Nase offenbart intensive Aromen von süßen Äpfeln, Apfelkompott, Honig und einem Hauch Karamell. Am Gaumen präsentiert er sich weich, rund und saftig, mit einer feinen Süße und nur dezenten Säure, die ihn besonders zugänglich und leicht macht. Der Abgang ist fruchtig, mild und angenehm verspielt.
Ideal serviert bei 6–8 °C, ist der Cru Breton Doux ein perfekter Begleiter zu Crêpes, Apfeltarte, Brioche, Croissants oder mildem Blauschimmelkäse. Auch zu würzigen Currys oder als Dessertbegleiter entfaltet er sein volles Potenzial. Aufgrund seines geringen Alkoholgehalts eignet er sich zudem hervorragend als fruchtige Alternative zu herkömmlichen Aperitifs.
