Description
The Salzl Cuvée Classic Red 2023 is an expressive, versatile red wine from Burgenland that skillfully combines drinking pleasure, structure and origin. The Salzl Seewinkelhof winery is known for precisely vinified wines with a clear style, and this cuvée is a classic representative of the estate. The composition of Zweigelt, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon combines fruit emphasis, spice and depth to create a harmonious overall picture. The wine is matured predominantly in steel tanks, supplemented by a part in small oak barrels with four barrels, which lends structure and depth without dominating the fruit. Deep, dark ruby garnet in the glass with an almost black core and violet reflections. The nose is fruity and spicy with dark forest fruits, plums, ripe cherries, currants, black olives, tea leaves and fresh minerals.
