In 1994, the brothers Lodovico and Piero Antinori founded the Tenuta di Biserno project. The winery is ideally located between the coast and the picturesque hills of Bibbona, a region known for its soil composition. These geographical conditions offer ideal conditions for growing the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grape varieties.
The composition of the grape varieties at Tenuta di Biserno comprises 40% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Franc, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot. This careful selection and blend results in a balanced and complex wine profile. The wines are matured for 12 months in both new and used French barriques, followed by a further 6 months of bottle ageing, which gives the wines time to fully develop and reveal their characteristic aromas.
The estate's soil consists of alluvial soil and clay, which further contributes to the quality and unique character of the wines. The bottling process is completed with a natural cork, which emphasizes the tradition and naturalness of the wine.
