The Salzl Spätlese Weiß 2023 is a seductive, delicately fruity white wine with a balanced sweetness and refreshing acidity - a real highlight for lovers of elegant Prädikat wines. This fine cuvée is made from the grape varieties Sämling 88, Chardonnay and Bouvier, which thrive in the Seewinkel region of Burgenland on nutrient-rich black soil consisting of loamy silt with a high gravel content. This soil structure ensures intense aromas, lively freshness and a fine mineral component.

The grapes are fermented at a controlled temperature of 15 °C in stainless steel tanks, with fermentation being deliberately interrupted at a residual sugar content of 73.3 g/l to create the typical, elegant interplay of sweetness and acidity. The wine is then matured for two months on the fine lees, which gives it a creamy texture and additional smoothness. With 10.5% alcohol by volume, the Spätlese Weiß 2023 is pleasantly light, yet dense and aromatically intense. Ready to drink from 2025, the wine has storage potential until at least 2030.

An ideal wine for connoisseurs looking for fruity sweetness with freshness, elegance and depth - both on its own and with refined dishes. On the palate, the Spätlese is dense, full of finesse and balanced, with an animating fruit bouquet, fine citrus notes, caramel, peach, apricot and elderberry. The creamy texture, intense smoothness and harmonious balance of sweetness and acidity make for a multi-layered and seductive drinking experience.
