The Botran family founded their distillery in the middle of a volcanic mountain range. At 2,300 meters above sea level, they produce fine rums that meet the highest standards. The family grows the sugar cane juice needed to produce the rum themselves on their own plantations. As they claim to grow the best sugar cane in the whole country, expectations of this rum are quite high. However, it certainly lives up to them. To mature their rums, the family business uses various white oak barrels, some of which were previously filled with port wine or sherry.
