Der Salzl Chardonnay Selection 2023 ist ein ausdrucksstarker und gleichzeitig feingliedriger Chardonnay aus dem Burgenland, der mit Eleganz, Frische und geschmacklicher Tiefe überzeugt. Hergestellt aus 100 % Chardonnay, spiegelt dieser Weißwein sowohl die Typizität der Rebsorte als auch das Potenzial des Seewinkels eindrucksvoll wider. Die Reben wachsen auf einem Braunerdeboden aus sandigem Lehm mit hohem Schotteranteil, der dem Wein eine klare Mineralik, Vitalität und Struktur verleiht.
Die alkoholische Gärung im Edelstahltank bei 15 °C und der anschließende 5-monatige Ausbau auf der Feinhefe sorgen für einen harmonischen Ausbau mit feinem Schmelz und aromatischer Tiefe. Mit einem Alkoholgehalt von 13 % Vol. zeigt sich die Chardonnay Selection 2023 ausgewogen, druckvoll und elegant zugleich. Der Wein ist ab 2024 optimal trinkreif und besitzt ein Reifepotenzial bis mindestens 2028 – ein idealer Begleiter für stilvolle Alltagsmomente wie auch für gehobene Küche.
Dieser Chardonnay vereint burgundische Finesse mit burgenländischem Terroir – ein Wein, der solo begeistert, aber vor allem als Speisenbegleiter glänzt. Tasting notes:
Im Glas strahlt der Wein in einem intensiven Grün-Gelb mit zartem Goldschimmer. In der Nase zeigen sich reife und teils exotische Fruchtnoten wie Marille, Birne, Ananas und ein Hauch Maracuja, ergänzt durch mineralische Akzente, Wiesenkräuter und dezente vegetabile Anklänge. Am Gaumen offenbart sich ein animierendes Frucht-Säure-Spiel, begleitet von gelbem Apfel, Marille, Stachelbeere, einer Nuance Honigmelone, Mandel und Brennnessel. Die fein strukturierte Cremigkeit, mineralisch-salzige Frische und die zarte Würze im Finish verleihen dem Wein Klarheit, Länge und einen belebenden Trinkfluss.

Der Salzl Chardonnay Selection 2023 passt hervorragend zu Meeresfisch, kräftigen Süßwasserfischen wie Zander oder Wels, sowie zu Kalb, Geflügel und vegetarischen Gerichten mit Kräutern oder Rahm. Auch solo überzeugt er als eleganter Weißwein für jeden Anlass.
